of Newton, MA on September 18, 2015. Beloved wife for 50 years of Barry Sugarman. Proud mother of David Sugarman of New York City and Leah Sugarman and her husband Leonard Kardon of Arlington, MA. Cherished grandmother of Bea, Saul and Oscar Kardon. Sharon graduated from Douglas College and met Barry in Princeton, NJ. Together they lived in Oxford, England, Providence, RI, and Dayton, OH before settling in Newton in 1979. Former Executive Director of Temple Emanuel of Newton and Solomon Schecter Day School. Services at Wilson Chapel, 234 Herrick Rd., Newton Centre, MA, Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 11:00 am. Memorial observance will be at her residence Sunday, September 20 from 6-9 pm and at the Sugarman-Kardon residence in Arlington, MA on the following Saturday, September 26 from 6-9 pm. Memorial donations in her name can be made to Oxfam International.
