Simon Zaslavsky, PhD

age 65, of Arlington, MA, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on November 29, 2013. Beloved husband of Sima (Altshuler) Zaslavsky. Devoted father to Inna Zaslavsky Khazan and her husband Roger Khazan. Loving grandfather to Robert, Aaron, and Eliana. Dear brother to Elizabeth Karonik. Simon’s greatest joy was his family. He was adored by his wife, daughter, son-in-law and three grandchildren. Simon lived life to its fullest, enjoyed every moment, and had the remarkable ability to see the bright spot even in darkest moments. His light will live on in our hearts forever.Funeral service in the Brezniak-Rodman Funeral Chapel, 1251 Washington St., West Newton on Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM.  Burial will follow in Beth Israel Memorial Park – Waltham.  Shiva will be held at Simon’s late residence immediately following the burial.
