Sylvia ( Peterman) Grace

Sylvia (Peterman) Grace, 91 of 240 Lynnfield St. Peabody passed away on Wednesday May 16 at her residence. Her husband of 61 years, John M. Grace died in 2005. She leaves two sons Richard Grace  S. Grace and his wife Elaine of Bedford, MA, Dr. Robert Grace and his wife Linda of North Kingstown, RI, a daughter, Kathi wife of Anthony Coppola of Peabody, two sisters, Muriel “Mimi” Chafetz of Braintree and Ruth Cousin of FL; a brother, Gerald Peterman and his wife Lee of NH, six grandchildren and one great grandson.

She was born in Boston, a daughter of Eli and Flora (Maisel), and she lived in Worcester for over 50 years before moving to Peabody.

She volunteered for thousands of hours for Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital and for The Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). She belonged to The Worcester Crafts Center, where she taught Knitting and other crafts. She was a 54 year member of Temple Emanuel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday May 18th at  Brezniak-Rodman Chapel 1251 Washington St. West Newton, MA under the direction of Richard Perlman. Interment at King Solomon Memorial Park, Centre St. West Roxbury. In Lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Woodbridge Assisted Living 240 Lynnfield St. Peabody, MA 01960
