William “Bill” Schlosberg

William “Bill” Schlosberg passed away on June 1, 2022 at the age of 86, leaving behind his loving wife, Judith (Judy) of 63 years. Bill was the son of Charles and Mildred (Smokler) Schlosberg of Roxbury. Bill was predeceased by his brother Abraham. He is survived by his sister Zelda. Bill was a devoted father to Carol Izen (Mark), Freda Sashihara (Craig), and Alan (Elizabeth); an adored grandpa to Steven (Dylan), Sydney (Neil), Jessica, Marissa, Sarah, and Hannah; and great-grandfather to Andres and Mateo.

After marrying Judy, his young sweetheart, Bill began a long and storied career in Accounting and Sales at General Electric. During this time, he also attended Bentley University at night and graduated with a degree in Accounting. Traveling around the Boston area for 35 years, Bill was known by his clients for his big smile and generous personality. Bill had the ability to put anyone he talked to at ease and was beloved in his professional community until he retired in 1991. Bill had also been a member of the National Guard.

Bill’s family was in his heart every moment of every day. Settling with Judy in Chestnut Hill, Bill raised his three children as a model father. There was no shortage of fun, encouragement, or Dunkin’ Donuts in the Schlosberg home. Bill was generous with his affection and quick with a joke. He loved to sing, read biographies, play golf and baseball, and watch the Red Sox. Bill will be remembered for always putting others first and giving anything to anybody. From summers in Cape Cod to winter visits to Florida, the whole family has countless special memories of Bill together with everyone. The family was everything to Bill, and he was everything to the family.

The service and shiva will be private. Remembrances may be made to any charity in honor of Bill’s warmth and generosity of spirit.
