Hacker, William of Naples, FL, formerly of Wilton, CT and Brookline, MA on April 11, 2008. Bill was born in Roxbury in 1929. He attended the University of Miami and joined the Army, serving in Germany. He returned from service and finished his education at Boston University. He moved to Alberqurque where he met his wife Sheila. They came back East to start Camp Cedar, with his late brother Henry Hacker and the late Henry Lesser. Bill began his teaching and counseling career in Wilton, Norwalk and Westport, CT until his retirement in 1981. He continued to be active in the camping community, where he touched the lives of thousands of campers and counselors through the years. Bill is remembered by generations of friends, young and old, and by his devoted family, including his adoring wife and soulmate Sheila, his proud children Jeff and his wife Karen, Sue Hacker-Wolf and her husband Adam, and four adoring grandchildren, Samantha, Jesse, Molly and Maya. Loved ones will gather to comfort one another at the home of Sue and Adam, 48 Hampton Rd., Westwood, MA Wednesday 4-9pm and Thursday 5-7pm.
