Selma Durschlag, age 90, of Brockton, July 6, 2019. Daughter of the late Martin Brown and Molly Mordzinsky Brown. Wife of the late Alexander J. Durschlag. Predeceased by her brother Irwin Brown. Loving mother of Ellen Snyder (Larry) and Mark Durschlag (Roberta). Noah Elan Marcus, age 22, of Newton, on July 3, 2019. Beloved son of Jeffrey Neil Marcus and Susan Beth Nitkin. Loving brother of Caleb and Joanna Marcus. Cherished grandson of Barbara Nathan Marcus and Robert Marcus, the late Helen Ruth Schwarz, and the late Ralph Nitkin, Pearl Cahn and Herbert Cahn. Noah is survived by many aunties, uncles, cousins, and many people who cared about him deeply in life and miss him.

Noah was a brave and beautiful person, loving and kind, and he had a questioning mind and a unique sense of humor that helped many people see the world differently. We are all better people because our lives have been touched by Noah. He brought his tender heart, sweet soul, and loving true self to his family, teachers, and all those who loved him. The earth was graced by his presence.

Arnold “Arnie” Irving Sager of Danvers, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.  Son of the late Bessie and Morton Sager. Brother of the late Rebecca Whitney and the Late Lillian Green. Loving husband of Barbara L. Sager for 66 incredible years.  Devoted father of Bobby Sager and his wife Elaine Sager, David Sager and his late husband Brian Churchill, and Ronald Sager.  Proud and loving grandfather to Shane Sager, Cole Sager, Tess Sager and her fiancé Patrick Hogan. 

US Army Veteran, entrepreneur, and a leader in Jewish communities in both Massachusetts and Florida with roles ranging from President of the synagogue to board member to producer of the annual musical.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 7^th at 2pm at Temple Tiferet Shalom, 489 Lowell Street, Peabody, MA 01960. Immediately after services the burial will be held at Lebanon Tifereth Israel Cemetery, Peabody, MA 01960.

Shiva will be at the home of Bobby and Elaine Sager on Monday and Tuesday from 2:00pm-9:00pm.

Naomi Mahlowitz

of Wellesley, formerly of Newton, and Belmont. Mother of 4, grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of 3. Naomi was a sweet and loving matriarch with a positive and rosy outlook and an amazing sense of humor. She loved spending time with her family. She passed peacefully with her family by her side on July 3, 2019, one week before her 97th birthday. Devoted mother of Susan Mammola, Carol Edelman and her husband David, Donna DeWallace and her husband Gray, and David Mahlowitz and his wife Vicki. Loving grandmother of Diane Mammola, Debrah Cenci and her husband Michael, Elycia, Aaron and his wife Samantha, Michelle and Debra Edelman, Grayson and Cameron DeWallace, and Rebecca, Erika, and Cole Mahlowitz. Rosenburg, Dorothy, of Hingham, formerly of Delray Beach, FL, on July 3, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Sydney Rosenburg. Of Brookline, MA. Died on July 1, 2019 at age 82 after a heroic battle with neck cancer. Devoted husband of Evelyn (Gliksman) Berman. Loving father of Brian Berman, Amy Berman & husband Steve Krauss, and Andy Berman & wife Tisha (Ajimine) Berman. Adored “Papa” of Tyler & Reed Berman and Caitlyn Krauss. Inspiration to countless students he mentored during his 30+ years as a professor and advisor at Tufts Dental School. Giving friend and neighbor to so many who shared his giving spirit.
