Services at Temple Israel, 477 Longwood Ave., Boston, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment at Temple Israel Cemetery, Wakefield. Memorial observance will be held at Temple Israel on Tuesday from 5-9 pm and will continue at the home of Rabbi Suzie Jacobson on Wednesday and Thursday, 10 am – 9 pm, Friday, 10 am – 4 pm, Saturday after sundown, and Sunday 10 am – 9 pm. Martha (Reiser) Lipofsky

Of Stoughton, age 100, on May 6, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Solomon Lipofsky. Devoted daughter of the late Abraham and Mary (Postman) Reiser. Loving sister of the late Morris Reiser, Rose Liberman, Anna Monosson, and Ida Sharp. Cherished aunt of many nieces and nephews. Graveside service at the Lawrence Ave. Cemetery, 776 Baker St., West Roxbury, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha’s memory may be made to the MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Martha served as a 1st Lt. in the Army Air Corps during WWII and Korea.

Sinel, Sharon (Feldman) of Newton, 71, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 in Needham. Devoted mother of Sarah Miller and son-in-law, David Miller, and the late Benjamin Feldman. Loved grandmother (Mémé) of Genevieve Miller.  Sharon was a lover of sailing, the beach, antiques and of people. Sharon will be missed by all who knew her. Services at The Wilson Chapel, 234 Herrick Rd., Newton Centre, on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 10:00 am. Memorial observance following the service at Sarah and David’s home and on Friday, May 12, 4-7 pm.

age 92, of Randolph, passed away on April 13th, 2017 in Roslindale. Funeral services will be held at Sharon Memorial Park, 40 Dedham St., Sharon, at 12:45 pm on Sunday, July 16, 2017. Pearlene is survived by her daughters Carol Cohen of Norton, MA., Ilene Ringler of Phoenix, AZ., her son David Zimel of Oakhurst, NJ, son in law Charles Ringler and daughter in law JoAnn Zimel. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jessica Zimel , Matthew Zimel, Benjamin Cohen and Lee Cohen. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to worthy causes that Pearlene supported. They are as follows:  Make A Wish, Operation Smile, Smile Train, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Massachusetts Humane Society, Arbor Foundation, or Plant A Tree In Israel. Great-grandmother of Kaben Comenzo, Fiona Comenzo, and Skylar Comenzo. Loving sister of Natalie Rothstein, Jerold Nevins, and the late Victor Nevins. Private graveside services were held.

Richard L. Freudberg

FREUDBERG-Richard L., age 89 of Newton, MA, on April 29, 2017. Beloved husband of Rita L. (Rosenfeld) Freudberg for almost 65 years. Devoted father of Stuart and his wife Lynn Gutter, Jeffrey and his wife Suzanne Oesterreicher, and Audrey. Loving grandfather to Adam, Michael, Daniel, Rose, Jeremy, and Jake Freudberg and great-grandfather to Evan, Noah, and Leah. Brother to the late Grace F. Berlow. A graduate of Rensselaer and MIT. Richard had a long career as an electrical engineer, starting at the Naval Research Lab and Dunn Engineering in Washington,D.C., and for over 50 years in Massachusetts at Sylvania, GTE, and Wang Laboratories. He was an accomplished piano player, ham radio operator, marksman, and auto mechanic who loved tinkering with his cars. Services at Temple Reyim 1860 Washington St.,Newton, MA on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 11 am. Burial will follow at Lindwood Memorial Park, Randolph,MA. Memorial observance will be at his late residence on Tuesday from 5- 8 pm, Wednesday 2-4, 6-8 pm. In Lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Greater Boston Food Bank, or Newton- Wellesley Hospital Charitable Foundation.

Step- father of Aaron J. Schatz, and Noam J. Schatz and his  wife Sarah. Also survived by thirteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Loving brother of Diane Klein Berger and her husband Steven, and the late Linda Klein Snyder and her surviving husband Elliot. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Services at Temple Sinai, 25 Canton St., Sharon, on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2 pm. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon, memorial observance will be at his residence until 8 pm on Sunday and continuing Monday through Thursday, 3-5, 7-9 pm and on Friday 10 am – 12 Noon. Remembrances may be made to Anti- Defamation League of New England, 40 Court St., Boston, MA  02109.
