Marvin L. Schwartz, Esq. -Of Newton.Service at Temple Shalom,175 Temple St. West Newton, MA on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at 1:00 pm.passed away on June 27, 2015 in Weston, MA. Marvin was a resident of Larchmont, NY for over 40 years. He was a loving husband to Gloria, father to Robert M. Schwartz, the late Janet E. Hill, John J. Schwartz and his wife Lynda H. Schwartz, and grandfather to Joshua D. Hill, Jack Schwartz and Laura Schwartz. A graduate of Stuyvesant High School, Brooklyn College and NYU Law School, he proudly served in World War II in England, France and Italy as a technical sergeant with the 442nd Troop Carrier Command. After his army service, he practiced law in Manhattan for over 50 years with skill, care and compassion. Marvin was a long-time member of Larchmont Temple and trustee of Horseshoe Harbor Yacht Club. He will be fondly remembered for his wit, appreciation of music and sailing. There will be a private interment in Newton, MA.

age 82, of Newton, originally from New Bedford, on June 26, 2015. Son of the late Minnie and Tom Horvitz of New Bedford. Beloved husband of the late Shirley Horvitz. Survived by loving son Ross Horvitz, beloved brother Howard Horvitz and beloved brother Robert Horvitz, and many loving family, friends, and colleagues. Simeon was a professor at Bentley College and Framingham State College. He also practiced law. Simeon was a graduate of Suffolk University and the Suffolk University Law School where he earned his juris doctorate degree. He loved fishing, swimming at the beach, and being in his boat. He enjoyed watching his beloved Boston Red Sox team and was a member of the Waltham Triad Lodge of Mason, now in Newton, for over 50 years. Services in the Independent Pride of Boston Cemetery, 776 BAKER St., West Roxbury, on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind, 175 N. Beacon St., Watertown, MA 02472.

Herbert Naradoff Goodwin, age 80, of Brookline, surrounded by his family on June 26, 2015.  Born in Brookline to the late Joseph and Belle Ginsberg, Herb was a loving husband to Rhoda Goodwin and a devoted father to Joanne Goodwin, Lauren Berkowitz and her husband Adam, and Carolyn Goodwin and her husband Dan. He also leaves his grandson Gabriel Goodwin Berkowitz, his brother, Richard Naradoff Goodwin and his wife Doris, and many loving family and friends.Herb was born in Brookline and attended Brookline High School, Tufts University and New York University School of Law. Herb presided as the Brookline District Court Judge until his retirement in 2001. Prior to becoming a judge, he conducted a private law practice for many years in Boston. He also served in the Tax Division of the Department of Justice, as an assistant U.S. attorney in Boston, as Chief of the Consumer Protection Division of the State Attorney General’s Office, and as Chairman of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission. A citizen activist, he served on many Brookline town committees and associations.Most of all, Herb was a courageous, deeply kind, and compassionate man who befriended without judgment and loved with all his heart.Services will be held at Temple Israel, 477 Longwood Avenue (parking on the Riverway), Boston at 11 am on Monday, June 29^th. Following interment at Baker Street Cemetery, West Roxbury, family and friends are invited to the family home until 5 pm. Memorial observance will continue on Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the family home. Remembrances may be made to the Greater New England Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (P.O. Billy passed away peacefully holding his children’s’ hands on June 23, at the age of 89.  He was the adoring husband of the love of his life, the late Sybil Shulman and the so very loved father of Larry and Amy Shulman and Aileen and Neil Grossman. Zade was the proud and happy grandfather of Ross, Alyssa, Ariel and Keith, Aron and his fiancé, Diana.  Zade was also lucky to enjoy his three great grandchildren Caleb, Owen and Ava Fengler.  Billy served in the Navy and graduated from Northeastern before running Huntington TV, the family business. Bill was a very special man in both his business and personal life, making everyone he knew feel special, most of all, he made them laugh.  No one could tell a story like Billy! Services at Temple Israel, 125 Pond St., Sharon, MA, Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11:00 am.  Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, memorial observance will be held at the home of Larry & Amy Shulman until 8:00 pm, and on Saturday  3-5 & 7-9 pm.

Selden- Paula L. (Lisagor), age 72, of Brockton, on June 22, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Boston to the late Samuel and Beatrice Lisagor. Graduate of Brighton High School.
