Kenneth Brenner

Kenneth “Kieve” BRENNER of East Cobb, Georgia, died at home, June 11, at 93 years young. He is survived by his beloved Oril Watts; daughter, Marsha Brenner of East Cobb; son, Richard Brenner of Andover, MA; grandchildren, Kieran Brenner of NYC and Deirdre Brenner of Vienna, Austria. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts he served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Boise & the USS Mattaponi in Europe and North Africa. He owned and operated Richard Bennett Tailors, Lawrence, MA for 42 years. He retired to Atlanta in 2001, was a GREAT cook, preparing all family holiday feasts, and family reunions, and laughed with every breath he took!. Graveside services in the Pride Of Lynn Cemetery, Lynn on Sunday,June 15 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Kieve’s name to Weinstein Hospice, www.weinsteinhospice.com, or The Center for Children and Young Adults, www.ccyakids.org.

Warren Kenneth Rosen, Esq.

of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Woodbridge, CT, in his seventieth year on June 9, 2014. Beloved husband of Nancy (Goldberg) Rosen. Devoted father and father-in-law of Heidi (Rosen) and Brian Rosenberg, Daniel Rosen and Gabrielle Blitz and Jay and Lauren Rosen. Cherished grandfather and “Pops” of Jeremy, Joshua and Adam Rosenberg, and Yael Rosen. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dr. J. Myron Rosen and the late Barbara Rosen, Howard Rosen, Pauline Rosen and the late Dr. Constance (Rosen) Wood. Son of the late Henry and the late Annie Rosen. Warren will be sadly missed by his niece, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Lindwood Memorial Park, 490 North St., Randolph, MA on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 11:00am. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Dr. J. Myron Rosen and Barbara Kane following the service. Fernande “Fern” (Bernier) Laliberty

Fernande Laliberty, 88, affectionately known to many as “Fern”, passed away at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, Colorado on May 17, 2014 with family by her side. She was born in Westbrook, Maine, daughter of Jules and Isabelle Girardin Bernier on June 8, 1925.

She worked at Data General in Westbrook for a number of years.

She was a communicant of the parish of St. Anthony of Padua and also active with St. Vincent de Paul’s thrift shop, a crafter at St. Anne’s parish and gave communion to homebound parishioners. She loved knitting, jigsaw puzzles, baking, and making her delicious peanut butter fudge for her family and friends at Christmas.

Her husband of 26 years, Louis (Tom) Laliberty, died Dec. 16, 1972.

Fernande is survived by her two sons, Michael and his wife Alice of Longmont, Colorado and David and his wife Belinda of Sorrento, Florida; and one sister, Pauline Brassard of Brunswick, Maine; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the parish of St. Anthony of Padua, with reception to follow. Burial was in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.

Memorial observance at the home of Sharron and Neil Rich, Tuesday following the interment, Wednesday and Thursday with Minyan service each evening at 7:30 pm. Graveside services at Beit Olam East Cemetery, 42 Concord Rd., Wayland, on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 11:00 am. Following the service, memorial observance will be at the home of Shirl Blank until 5:00 pm, and will continue Monday and Tuesday 5-8 pm. Jacob J. Yeager

Yeager (known as “Jack” by his relatives and close friends) of Natick, MA died on the morning of June 2 at Brigham and Women’s hospital after a brief illness.  He was 87 years old.   Born in Montreal, Quebec on Dec 21, 1926, Jacob graduated from McGill University in Montreal with a B.S. in Chemistry and worked for the Gillette Company in the personal care division, first as a chemist and then as a product manager for 37 years before retiring in 1987.  In 1968, Jacob transferred from Gillette’s Montreal plant to its Boston headquarters.  He chose to make his home in Dover, MA for 43 years, a town he loved for its natural scenic beauty and where he would go for long walks several times a day.  As well as being a nature lover and bird watcher, Jacob was an avid classical music connoisseur and a devotee of German and French art song.   He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Elsie Schiff, his beloved son Mark of Oakland, CA, his nephew Jack Yeager of Toronto, and his brother-in-law, Dr. Harry Schiff of Vancouver.  A graveside service will be held at Framingham/Natick Jewish cemetery, 40 Fairview Ave. Natick at 1:00 pm Friday June 6 followed by a reception for family and friends at his residence. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the National Gaucher Foundation at www.gaucherdisease.org.

Ralph Gordon-Of Chestnut Hill, on June 2, 2014.Beloved husband of Cecelie (Raphael) Gordon. Ralph was a Boston attorney for more than 60 years. He graduated from Boston University and BU Law School. He was a member of the Mass Bar Association, The Real Estate Bar Association, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Meetinghouse Bank. Services at The Wilson Chapel, 234 Herrick Rd.,Newton Centre (on the campus of Hebrew College ), on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 11:00 am. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park, memorial observance will be at his residence until 4Pm Tuesday.
