Loving grandfather of Jeffrey and Robert Ashworth, and Annie, Emily, and Kate Herzog. Cherished great-grandfather of Benjamin, Esme, Taylor, and Riley. Loving brother of Sally Adelson and the late Harold Oshry. George Was by all accounts, a man of integrity and often referred to as “a real gentleman” He graduated Harvard University class of 1938 where he also went on to receive a master’s degree in metallurgy. During World War II he worked at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland where one of his jobs was x-raying defective ammunition. He was the president of General Metals Company. George enjoyed many summers with his family in Ogunquit, ME. He was a lifelong and active member of Temple Ohabei Shalom. Graveside services will be held at Sharon Memorial Park on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 11:45 am, followed by a celebration of his life at Norumbega Point Assisted Living in Weston. Seronick-Doris (Gold) at the age of 90, of Newton on June 1, 2009 from a brief illness. Doris leaves her loving husband of 65 years, Irving, her two children, Beverlee Seronick Barnes and Peter Seronick, their respective spouses, Glenn and Loraine and the four jewels of her life, her grandchildren, Stacey, Andrew, Ariana and Liza. In Doris’s own words she lived a long,healthy,happy life and felt her impending death was not cutting her life short, but simply just ending it, and she was at total peace with that. Frances Singer, born March 28, 1914 in Lynn, MA, died on May 13, 2009, in Melbourne,FL. Frances moved to Brevard County, FL in 1978 from the Boston area. A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother Frances loved her family very much. Frances was a life master duplicate bridge player, a member of the Women’s Democratic Club, and she was active in the Sisterhood of Temple Beth Sholom, in Melbourne. Her husband, Max Singer, and an older brother, Leon Kisner predeceased her. She is survived by her children: Harvey Singer of Ormond Beach, FL, Richard (Carmen) Singer, of Singer Island, FL, and Barbara (Brian) Greenberg of Melbourne, FL.
