Ruth (Alpert) Boyer, 101 WORCESTER – Ruth (Alpert) Boyer, age 101, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on May 19th. Her husband of 38 years, Edward Boyer died in 1975. She leaves her son, Stuart Boyer and his wife Fay of Lake Worth, FL. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol Carbonneau, who died on Oct. 3, 2002, and by her infant son Allan Boyer, who died of spinal meningitis. She leaves seven grandchildren, Jon Carbonneau and his wife Sherri, Lisa wife of Steven Greene, Amy wife of Stephen Letourneau, Edward Carbo-nneau and his wife Kristen, Andy Boyer and his wife Amy, Michael Boyer and David Boyer and 16 great grandchildren, Michelle, Danielle, Nicole, Adam and Kevin Carbonneau, Marissa, Devin and Taylor Greene, Tyler and Collin Letourneau, Lindsey, Nicholas and Cassidy Carbonneau, Jessica, Remy and Zachary Boyer and her good friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Nathan and Irving Alpert. She resided at the Jewish Healthcare Center and previously at Eisenberg Assisted LIving Residence and for 55 years on Kinnicutt Rd. She lived a long and productive life, working until she was 95 years old. She had worked for Leib Insurance Co., Alan Corp. and Kanef Drug Co. She was an avid reader of the Worcester Telegram, reading it daily without the use of glasses. She loved to go to Val’s Restaurant in Holden to celebrate Mother’s Day. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, May 21th in Beth Israel Synagogue on 15 Jamesbury Drive under the direction of Richard Perlman of Brezniak-Rodman Funeral Home of Newton. Burial will be in Holy Society Cemetery in Leicester. Memorial Observance will be held through Tuesday Evening at the residence of Lisa and Steven Greene, 25 Waterville Lane in Shrewsbury. Devoted mother of Jane Adolph, wife of Bill Poznik of Hudson and John Deitz of Aurora, IL. Beloved former mother-in-law of Jane Deitz of Chicago. Beloved sister of the late Richard Mintz. Cherished grandmother of Daniel Kopelman and his wife, Robin Fogelman, Janis, wife of Mark Jordan, John Adolph and his wife, Sarah, Alison, wife of Peter Kaplan, Sarah, wife of Jay McMahon, and Aaron Deitz. Also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 16th, in Temple Emanuel, 280 May St., Worcester, under the direction of Brezniak Rodman Funeral Home. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery, Worcester.
