Cornuet, and Arthur H. Weiner and his husband Thomas Baker. Dear grandmother of Jeremiah Weiner and Rebecca Stanfel, Benjamin Weiner and Elise Barber, Miriam Szubin and Adam Szubin, Isaac Weiner and Rayna Weiner. Great-Grandmother of Andrew Stanfel, Nathan Szubin, Micah Szubin, Dov Weiner, Josiah Szubin, Efraim Weinbarber, and Ezra Weiner. Larry and Shelley Selkovits

SELKOVITS, Larry And Shelley Selkovits, of Cambridge, MA, died on October 19, 2016 and November 6, 2016 respectively, after 56 years of marriage. They are survived by their son David and his wife Sarah of Boston and Larry’s sister Myrna Zelenitz of Pittsburgh, PA. Larry will be interred next to his wife at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.

Rose Chalfin

Age 88, of Newton, died peacefully at her home, on November 8, 2016. Born in Boston on September 27, 1928 she grew up in Brookline, MA and was a graduate of Brookline High School. She went on to become a legal secretary and later became a homemaker and devoted her life to raising a loving family. While at home she decided to put her time into supporting youth athletics in Newton. She became the founding member of Newton Youth Soccer League and The Newton Girls Soccer League,which to this day still brings joy to thousands of young athletes.Beloved and devoted wife for 55 years of the late Harold Chalfin. Beloved sister of the late Faye Alberts and the late Joseph Kramer.  Devoted mother of April Chalfin and her husband, Preston Dortch of Lee MA, Mark Chalfin and his wife Beth of Palos Verdes, CA, and Beth Ravech and her husband Bruce of Needham, MA.  She was a proud and loving nana to five grandchildren: Jared and Alexa Ravech, Timmy Dortch, and Lila and Sadie Chalfin. Services at Temple Beth Shalom, 670 Highland Ave., Needham, MA on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 9:30am. Beatrice (Katz) Rich, a resident of Natick, MA for over 50 years, passed
away peacefully November 6, 2016 at the Parlin House in Wayland, MA.
She was 90 years old. For 67 years she was the beloved wife of the late
Alvin T. Rich. She leaves behind her daughter, Rosanne Kates, and her
husband, Louis, and her son, Irwin Rich, and his wife, Joni. She also leaves
five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Bea was a sister to the
late Rita Barroll, Mildred Sherr, and Jerome Katz. She is survived by her
sisters, Helen Wolf and Audrey Hoffman.
Born in Manchester, NH November 1, 1926, she met the love of her life
when she was 11 years old, in Boston. Bea married her sweetheart, Al, at
19 years of age. She worked as a customer service rep in the claims
department for Allstate Insurance for over 25 years and took great pride in
her work.
More than anything else, Nana Bea loved being with her family. Her
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant everything to her.
Services will be held on Tuesday November 8, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Temple
Beth Sholom 50 Pamela Road, Framingham, MA. Burial will follow at the
Chevra Kadusha Cemetery in Woburn, MA. Shiva will be observed
Tuesday, 7-9 PM and Wednesday, 1-5 PM and 7-9 PM at the home of Irwin
and Joni Rich. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Open Spirit: A
