Esther (Silverstein) Van Dam- of Brookline, June 13, 2014.Beloved wife of the late Melvin Van Dam. Devoted mother of Gerry Van Dam, Susan Siegel and her late husband Elliot, Eliot Van Dam and his wife Caryn. Loving grandmother of Dr. Steven Van Dam and his wife Allyson, Michael Van Dam and his wife April, Jeffrey Siegel and his wife Nanci, Amy Mounce and her husband Bill, Adam and Lauren Van Dam. Survived by 10 loving great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Nathan Silverstein and Lillian Silverstein Stern. Services at Temple Israel, 125 Pond St. Sharon, on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 11:00 am. Leona Rubin

Leona L. (Lerner) Rubin- Of Randolph, MA, on Thursday morning. Mrs. Rubin was born in Chelsea, MA on July 8, 1928. She was married to the late Arnold Rubin for more than 52 years. She was the loving mother of Carol and Scott Brown, Diane and Aron Kuppersmith and David and Marjorie Rubin; the devoted grandmother of Laura and Chris Kittredge, Matthew Brown, Leah Kuppersmith, Michael Kuppersmith, Zachary Rubin and Jacob Rubin, and adored bubie of Avery Kittredge. She was the beloved sister of the late Harold Lerner and beloved sister in law of Paul and the late Mildred Rubin, Audrey and the late Laurence Rubin, Doris and the late Sheldon Adler, and Dr. Robert and Judy Rubin. She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services at Temple Sinai, 25 Canton Street, Sharon, MA, Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 12 noon. Interment at Sharon Memorial Park. Kenneth “Kieve” BRENNER of East Cobb, Georgia, died at home, June 11, at 93 years young. He is survived by his beloved Oril Watts; daughter, Marsha Brenner of East Cobb; son, Richard Brenner of Andover, MA; grandchildren, Kieran Brenner of NYC and Deirdre Brenner of Vienna, Austria. Born in Lynn, Massachusetts he served in the US Navy during WWII aboard the USS Boise & the USS Mattaponi in Europe and North Africa. He owned and operated Richard Bennett Tailors, Lawrence, MA for 42 years. He retired to Atlanta in 2001, was a GREAT cook, preparing all family holiday feasts, and family reunions, and laughed with every breath he took!. Graveside services in the Pride Of Lynn Cemetery, Lynn on Sunday,June 15 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in Kieve’s name to Weinstein Hospice, www.weinsteinhospice.com, or The Center for Children and Young Adults, www.ccyakids.org.

Devoted father and father-in-law of Heidi (Rosen) and Brian Rosenberg, Daniel Rosen and Gabrielle Blitz and Jay and Lauren Rosen. Cherished grandfather and “Pops” of Jeremy, Joshua and Adam Rosenberg, and Yael Rosen. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Dr. J. Myron Rosen and the late Barbara Rosen, Howard Rosen, Pauline Rosen and the late Dr. Constance (Rosen) Wood. Son of the late Henry and the late Annie Rosen. Warren will be sadly missed by his niece, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at Lindwood Memorial Park, 490 North St., Randolph, MA on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at 11:00am. Memorial observance will be held at the home of Dr. J. Myron Rosen and Barbara Kane following the service. Fernande “Fern” (Bernier) Laliberty

Fernande Laliberty, 88, affectionately known to many as “Fern”, passed away at Longmont United Hospital in Longmont, Colorado on May 17, 2014 with family by her side. She was born in Westbrook, Maine, daughter of Jules and Isabelle Girardin Bernier on June 8, 1925.

She worked at Data General in Westbrook for a number of years.

She was a communicant of the parish of St. Anthony of Padua and also active with St. Vincent de Paul’s thrift shop, a crafter at St. Anne’s parish and gave communion to homebound parishioners. She loved knitting, jigsaw puzzles, baking, and making her delicious peanut butter fudge for her family and friends at Christmas.

Her husband of 26 years, Louis (Tom) Laliberty, died Dec. 16, 1972.

Fernande is survived by her two sons, Michael and his wife Alice of Longmont, Colorado and David and his wife Belinda of Sorrento, Florida; and one sister, Pauline Brassard of Brunswick, Maine; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the parish of St. Anthony of Padua, with reception to follow. Burial was in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.

Memorial observance at the home of Sharron and Neil Rich, Tuesday following the interment, Wednesday and Thursday with Minyan service each evening at 7:30 pm.
