Ellis-Benjamin Edward, of Randolph, on June 24, 2013. Beloved husband of Naomi Ellis. Dear son of the late Abraham & Anna Ellis. John J. Burwick, 75, of Wayland, formerly of Worcester, died on Saturday, June 22nd, at his residence.
He leaves two daughters, Karen, wife of Ivan Audouin of Framingham and Cynthia “Cindy” Burwick of Brookline, a brother, Stephen Burwick of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, a sister, Marjorie, wife of William Bernstein of Worcester, and two grandchildren, Jacob and Hannah Audouin. He was predeceased by his grandson, Benjamin Louis Audouin.
He was born in Worcester, a son of Charles and Dorothy (Lerner) Burwick and lived in Massachusetts most of his life.
He graduated Worcester Academy and Bryant College.
He was a co-founder and co-owner of Associated Credit Services, Inc., which was founded in 1969. When he invested $1750.00 to start the business, he was promised by his accountant that he would not survive in business more than one year.
He enjoyed tennis and golf.
He was a member of Temple Sinai, Yeshiva Achei Timimim, Worcester Lodge of B’Nai Brith, Jewish Healthcare Center and many professional and business associations.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 12:00 NOON ON TUESDAY, JUNE 25th AT TEMPLE SINAI, 661 SALISBURYST., WORCESTER ,UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF BREZNIAK RODMAN CHAPELS OF NEWTON. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery, Worcester.
Memorial Observance on Tuesday and Wednesday will be announced at the time of the funeral.

Age 86, of Needham , on June 21, 2013. Beloved wife of Harvey Swack. Dr. Lois Swack studied social work at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, Ohio and received her PhD from Antioch College. Dr. Swack worked at Brandeis University for 12 years,helping place graduate students in social service agencies throughout the Boston area, before retiring in 1990.In retirement, she helped prepare non-English speaking people to become citizens by providing instruction in reading and speaking English.Dr. Swack loved playing flute, listening to classical music and gardening.She is survived by her three children,Judith,Michael,Terry and their spouses and 4 grandchildren. Age 50, of Wellesley, MA, on Monday, June 17, 2013. Born in Landstuhl, Germany while her father served in the Army, Jill was raised on Cape Cod, graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School (class of 1980), earned a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and was elected Phi Beta Kappa. She settled with her family in Wellesley 18 years ago. She leaves behind her loving husband of 22 years, Jonathan K. Bernstein, and her beloved children Emily Paige Bernstein and Aaron Lev Bernstein, her mother Eve Janice Goldberg (nee Moody) of Dennis, MA, her sister Debra L. Shepherd and her husband Daniel Q. of Lima, Peru, her aunt Annabel Brennan, uncle Carl Moody, father-in-law Dr. Arthur M. Bernstein, several cousins, and cherished sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by both her father, Arthur L. Weiner and step-father, Herbert D. Goldberg. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Temple Beth Elohim, 10 Bethel Rd., Wellesley. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton St., Sharon. The family is accepting condolences at their home, 12 Maurice Rd., Wellesley, on Thursday after the burial until 8:00 PM and Friday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
