WORCESTER – Louis Sacks, 91, of 6 Cricket Lane, died on Friday, December 21st in the Jewish Healthcare Center.
He leaves his wife, Mildred (Patrick) Sacks; a son, Steven Sacks and his wife Donna of Silver Springs, MD; a daughter, Fe Sharp of Worcester and her former husband Peter Sharp; two grandchildren, Jeremy Sharp and his wife Tali, and Jared Sharp and his wife Jana; three great grandchildren, Sam, Eve, and Ethan Sharp. He was predeceased by his two brothers, David and Jacob Sacks.
He was born in Worcester and was a son of Frank and Eva (Potash) Sacks and was a lifelong resident.
He was a pharmaceutical detail man for Endo Laboratories and was the district manager of State of Israel Bonds in New England.
He was a staff sergeant in the Army Airforce for four years in the South Pacific during World War II.
He was a member of Temple Emanuel, B’Nai Brith, Jewish Healthcare Center and the Jewish War Veterans.
He was an avid reader, a lover of Jewish Music. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services WILL BE HELD at 2PM on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 26TH in TEMPLE EMANUEL at 280 MAY ST. UNDER THE DIRECTION OF RICHARD PERLMAN OF BREZNIAK RODMAN FUNERAL HOME OF NEWTON. Burial will be in B’Nai Brith Cemetery.
Memorial observance will be held through Wednesday Afternoon, Dec. 26th in the Jewish Healthcare Center, 629 Salisbury St. and 3PM to 8PM on Thursday, Dec. 27th at his residence, 6 Cricket Lane.
