Elliot Lerner, 88, formerly of Brockton, died at his home that he shared with his daughter and son in law June & Stephen Gerber in Mashpee, MA on July 30, 2012. Elliot greatly missed his wife Helen and his son David who both passed before him. The “Candy Man” and “Story Teller” loved the Red Sox, watching boxing on TV, and working Bingo at Temple Beth Emunah, Brockton. He was employed by Washburn Candy Company for many years. He is survived by his children June Gerber, Alan Lerner, and Kathy Brickman as well as his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. The patriarch of the family will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will take place at Temple Beth Emunah, (479 Torrey St., Brockton, MA) on Wednesday August 1st at 11am. Following interment, memorial observance will be held at the home of June and Stephen Gerber, Mashpee MA, Wednesday until 8pm, Thursday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 pm.
