Beloved sister of Ellen Schneider of Natick and Laurel Schneiderman of Los Angeles; Loving first cousin of Herb Stevens of Boynton Beach, David Gravin of Weymouth, Peg Shaw of Washington DC, Ronney Nadile of Lunenberg, Karen Schneiderman of Jamaica Plain and their respective families. Joni was a member of Natick High class of 1973. She earned her college degree in Animal Science, cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire. After many years as a dairy farmer, she transitioned to a management position within the dairy industry itself. Recognized for her service to the Northeast Dairy Herd Improvement Association and by Cooperative Dairy One, she continued to love and care for animals throughout her life. During this past decade until she took ill, she served as the office coordinator at the Wellesley College Center for Work and Service. Joni’s number-one passion was water sports — she was a certified scuba diver and aquatic fitness instructor. She loved Farm Pond in Sherborn and the ocean on Cape Cod, where she spent many hours in the water. A creative person and lover of nature and beauty, every thing she touched was beautiful—-her flowers and all her surroundings. Joni had a radiant smile that would light up the room and make everyone feel happy. Joni fought courageously for a long time to stay alive, awakening each day of her illness with a smile.
