Helen E. ( Rose) Maguire-Of  Barnstable , on December 8, 2013. Graveside services will be strictly private.

age 81, of Back Bay in Boston, died peacefully on December 7, 2013.

Reid was born in Boston, the son of Gordon M Morrison, MD and Alice Blodgett Morrison.  He graduated from Choate in 1950 and Harvard College in 1954.  He served honorably in the United States Air Force, with stations in the U.S. and Japan. Reid’s professional life began in the late 1950s as a journalist for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.  His love of writing and penchant for dropping hand written postcards to friends and family lasted his entire life.  Reid worked for many years for Nordblom Real Estate in commercial leasing and throughout the 1990s for the State of Massachusetts Department of Transportation in the Right of Way Division. Reid was heavily involved in City and State Republican politics.  He was a long-time elected member of the Massachusetts Republican State Committee and served as Chairman of the Republican Finance Committee.  He proudly served as a member of the Presidential Electoral College in 1980 when Ronald Reagan was elected. Reid shared many memorable times with family and friends at his favorite place – Fortunes Rocks, Maine.  He was a very proud member of the Fox Club at Harvard. Other associations included: the Boston Athenaeum, Newport Reading Room, Society of Colonial Wars and the Knockers Club.

Reid is survived by his brothers, Gordon M. Morrison, Jr. of Hopkinton, MA and Peter F. Morrison and his wife Bunny of Kennebunk, ME as well as by four nieces and a nephew, and a cousin, Tina Anderson of California.  Reid is also survived by special friends Katherine “Kitty” Winter of Boston, Marjorie Jones of Boston and Tom Reid of Shrewsbury, MA.

There will be no services at his request.  Interment of ashes will be in the spring at the Morrison family plot in Hope Cemetery, Kennebunk, ME.  Notes and remembrances can be sent to his brothers Gordon or Peter and addressed to Jennifer Morrison, 161 Atkins Bay Lane, North Hero, VT 05474.

Beatrice Weiner,  I. Of Aventura, FL, formerly of Newton, MA, died on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Wife of the late Morton D. Weiner. Mother to Karen and Richard Binder, Meryl and Lawrence Cohen, and Robin and Loren Gilman. Grandmother to four grand- children & great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren. Graveside services at Temple Emanuel section of Linwood Memorial Park, Randolph, MA, on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM. The family will be sitting at the home of Meryl and Lawrence Cohen on Wednesday and Thursday from 1-5 PM & 7-9 PM. of Newton, MA at home on December 2 at age 94. Dorothy Clive was the widow of the plastics inventor and executive Peter Clive and lived in River Edge, NJ and New Haven, CT before moving to Newton. She was the beloved mother of David and Michael, cherished sister of Virginia, doting grandmother of Julia and Pia, and admiring mother-in-law of Gloria.  Her son Jonathan, a research biostatistician, predeceased her in 2004. Known to family and friends as Dos, she was a bright, multi-talented woman whose creativity inspired those around her, including many surviving nieces and nephews and new generations of cousins and friends.

Irene Elefson, 92, of Las Vegas and formerly of Boston, passed away December 2, 2013. Irene is survived by son Jerrold (Isabel) Elefson of Las Vegas; grandsons Steven (Sivan) Elefson of Framingham, MA, and Alan Elefson of Framingham; great granddaughter Analiese Elefson of Framingham; and brother Irving (Oggia) Shapiro of Stoughton, MA. She is predeceased by her husband Abraham. The funeral will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Brezniak Rodman Chapel, 1251 Washington Street, Newton, MA. Burial will follow at Shara Tfilo Cemetery, West Roxbury. Shiva will be at the home of Steven and Sivan Elefson.

Larraine was a former math teacher at Acton-Boxboro Middle School for 30 Years.
