Enid Shocket- Of Palm Beach, FL and Newton, on Friday, March 15, 2013. Beloved wife of Murray. Devoted mother of Alan Shocket and his wife Shari, Jon Shocket and his wife Mahra and the late Debra Ellen Shocket. Loving grandmother of Jeff and Mattie, Marisa, Benjamin and Natalie Shocket. Services at Temple Emanuel, 385 Ward St., Newton, on Sunday, March  17 at 2:00 pm. Following interment at Baker St., West Roxbury, family and friends are invited to The Function Room (South Bldg.),250 Hammond Pond Parkway, Chestnut Hill  until 9:00 pm Sunday only. Lois “Libby” Ruby

Ruby-Lois “Libby”, of Boston, on March 8, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Norman Ruby. Devoted mother of Dr. Steven Ruby and his wife Gail, and Attorney Mark Ruby and his companion Genesis Tan. Dear grandmother of Matthew and Jordan, Elizabeth and Brendan. Sister in law of Gerald Ruby. Honorary grandmother of Arielle Schmidt and Rebecca Brown. Libby was born in Chelsea and lived most of her life in Boston at the Prudential Center. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. We would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford Connecticut and Masonicare Hospice. Private graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park. Sandra Cheryl Hurwitz-died suddenly on March 11, 2013, at the age of 57. She was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Isabelle Baker Hurwitz, the loving neice of the late Dr. Lawrence Baker of Brookline and his surviving wife, Phyllis L. Baker of Chestnut Hill. Sandra leaves cousins Jonathan S. Baker of MD., Dr. Elissa Baker Gittes of PA, and Elizabeth Baker Jacobs of MD. Special thanks to Jeff Barnard and Robin Younger of the Beth Israel Hospital, where Sandra worked for many years in the Radiology Department. Graveside services at Sharon Memorial Park (opposite 41 Dedham St. Sharon) on  Friday March 15, 2013 at 12:45 pm. Barry Shuman-of  Wellesley. Beloved  son of Trudy Shuman and the late Meyer H. “ Mike” Shuman. Devoted father of  Jennifer and Michelle Shuman. Dear brother of Linda Blumsack and her husband Bill. Loving uncle of Craig  Blumsack. Barry was President of Shuman Co., Inc. A graduate of CW Post College class of 1970, he was a master bridge player, avid golfer, and he will be missed by a wide circle of friends. Services at Temple Sinai, 25 Canton St., Sharon on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Following interment at Sharon Memorial Park,  memorial observance  will be at the home of  Linda and Bill  Blumsack until 8pm Wednesday, Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 pm. Miriam Waldman- of Dedham. Loving aunt of Bonnie Biren Thibodeau, Andrea Swart, Alan Biren and Barry Biren. Miriam was born in Revere on Jan.18, 1922, and graduated from Brighton High School. She served in the Navy in WWII and lived in Forest Hills, NY until she moved to Newbridge on The Charles. Services will be at The Brezniak-Rodman Chapel, 1251 Washington St., ( Corner of Chestnut St.) West Newton, on Friday, March 15 at 11:00 am. Interment will take place on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 10:45 am, Mount Sinai Cemetery at Washington Memorial Park, Coram, NY, with military honors.

Agnes Schwartz, of Wellesley, on March 7, 2013. Dear sister of the late  Boston attorney  Frederic G. Corneel and his surviving wife Martha “Marty” Corneel. Cherished aunt of Anne Corneel Guerra, Katy Corneel Stromland and the late Adam G. Corneel. Loving great aunt of Henry and Daniel Stromland. Dear cousin of the Solmitz family. Agnes and her late brother Frederic fled Germany after Kristallnacht in 1938. She graduated North Dallas High School in 1940. Agnes worked as a graphic artist for many years in New York and was an avid gardener and animal lover. The family is grateful for the years of care and the wonderful friends she met at The Falls in Newton. Graveside services at Hand and Hand Cemetery, 2659 Centre St., West Roxbury, on Monday, March 11, at 11:00 am. A memorial service will be held at The Falls at Cordingly Dam, 2300 Washington St., Newton on Monday at 2:30 pm, and memorial observance will be until 5:00 pm Monday. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to The International Tremor Foundation, 7046 W. 105th St., Overland, KS 66212 or United States Holocaust Museum, 100 Raul Wallenberg Pl SW, Washington, DC 20024.
