Laurence H. Bishoff

June 6, 2021

Laurence Herbert Bishoff, affectionately known as Larry, of Boston, MA, passed away on June 6, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Sophie and David Bishoff, Larry came to Boston at the age of 17 to attend the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Larry majored in management, became president of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity, and served in the ROTC. Following his graduation, Larry served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army and trained as a sharpshooter.

After his army service, Larry returned to MIT as Director of Housing and Dining, spearheading the renovation and development of several dormitories and dining facilities. Subsequently, Larry became the Executive Director of the MIT medical department and created an HMO for the MIT community, the first in the country not affiliated with a medical school. Larry spent most of his career in healthcare administration, working at MIT, Harvard University, and private corporations.  In his later years, Larry became a serial entrepreneur, founding several successful companies that combined his expertise in healthcare administration and technology.

Beyond his incredible work ethic and accomplishments, Larry had many interests. He was an avid Boston sports fan, enjoying the same pair of seats at Fenway Park every year since 1967, as well as season tickets to the Celtics and Patriots. He played squash, basketball, and golf, and served as a head coach for Newton Girls Soccer. Larry was a longtime member of the Harvard Club of Boston, a jazz and classical music aficionado, and an avid reader. Larry dazzled family and friends with his formidable intellect and extraordinary math skills, such as instantly calculating in his head the sum of long lists of numbers, patiently providing the correct answer no matter how many times his children tried, unsuccessfully, to stump him.

On top of his intellectual curiosity, Larry’s unfailing kindness, optimism, and sense of humor were legendary. He was generous to a fault, offered a kind word and smile to all, and told great stories. Larry was a mentor and friend to many, always willing to patiently listen, offer words of wisdom and encouragement, and help find solutions to life’s challenges. Larry delighted in hosting family and friends over a beautiful meal, talking and laughing until late into the night.  Despite bravely fighting through health challenges for many years, Larry never complained and always praised the wonderful medical staff of Massachusetts General Hospital who cared for him.

Larry is survived by his beloved family: wife, Ann Bishoff; son, Marc Bishoff; daughters, Amanda Muros-Bishoff and Alyssa Muros-Bishoff; son-in-law, William Droste; stepdaughter, Wendy Falchuk and family; grandsons, Marc Bishoff and Liam Palkhiwala; sister, Janey Bishoff, brother-in-law, David Blumenthal, nephew, Daniel Blumenthal, and his partner, Danielle Youngman; niece, Tobey Pearl and family; and many friends.

Funeral services will be private. Shiva will be observed on June 10, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at the home of Alyssa Muros-Bishoff and William Droste, and on June 11, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., at the home of Janey Bishoff and David Blumenthal. Max Goldsmith

May 18, 2021

Max Goldsmith of Newton, MA, passed away on May 18th at age 73 surrounded by family after a year-long battle with lung cancer.   Max is remembered for his laidback spirit, sharp wit, love of family and lifelong friendships.

Born to the late Robert Goldsmith, an apparel manufacturer from Brooklyn, NY, and the late Bernice (Kaplan) Goldsmith, an artist from The Bronx, NY.  Max was raised alongside his sisters Tina and Wendy in Fall River, MA.  He moved to Cambridge and then settled in Newton with his family while pursuing a career in banking.   Over the next 34 years he advanced through the Bank of Boston, Shawmut Bank, and State Street Bank before retiring just ahead of that decade’s financial crisis.  Returning to his roots, Max joined his lifelong friend Gene Laudon in Gene’s apparel manufacturing business in Fall River.

Throughout his career, Max was also an active and dedicated athlete.  He ran numerous road races and marathons, played competitive soccer on several teams into his mid-forties and coached youth teams, both local and travel.

But in the early 1990’s, no longer able to compete at soccer, he met two former players/coaches at a golf course. This set in motion the passion of his remaining years.   His golf buddies, the “Dawn Patrol” was at Newton Commonwealth Golf Course every day that there was “no snow on the ground and the wind chill was above 25.”  He cherished this ritual, along with his many golf tournaments and travels.  He was a man blessed with enduring friendships and wonderful memories.

Max’s greatest love was Bea, his wife of 53 years.  Together they raised their children Josh Goldsmith and Rachel (Goldsmith) Donovan.   Max adored his grandchildren, Chelsea and Alex Donovan, and never missed an opportunity to cheer them on at any field or hockey rink they played (no matter how far the drive or how blurry the live stream).

He is survived by his wife: Aline “Bea” (Romano), his son Joshua, his daughter Rachel Donovan and her husband Ryan, and grandchildren Chelsea and Alex.  Also survived by sisters Tina Goldsmith and her husband Danny Archer, and Wendy Goldsmith and her husband Kurt Wisneski, and their children Daniel Goldsmith, and Jordan Goldsmith and her wife Melissa Denmark, as well as countless cousins.  Max will be dearly missed, a treasured friend to all who knew him.

Services were private.  A Celebration of Life will be planned for every day that there is no snow on the ground and the wind chill is above 25.

Contributions can be made to the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, 300 Arnold Palmer Blvd, Norton, MA 02766.

Edward Faneuil

May 17, 2021

Edward James Faneuil, born July 2, 1952, loved and cherished by so many family members, friends and colleagues, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on Monday, May 17, 2021. Eddie was 68. He was filled with so much life and love that he gave in abundance to all those that knew him. He truly was a legend in so many ways to so many people from all different walks of life.

Eddie was raised in Brookline, MA and attended the Browne and Nichols School as a young boy through high school. He went on to graduate from Trinity College in 1974, and then pursued a passion for law at Suffolk Law School, from which he graduated in 1977. His early career in law began with his great friend and mentor, Richie Egbert. From 1981 to 1991, he was a partner at Samek & Faneuil, a Boston-based general practice law firm with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions. In 1991 he joined the Global family of companies where he oversaw the company’s legal and regulatory departments. In addition, he managed the legal aspects of Global Partners’ successful 2005 initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange. For thirty years, he gave his all to Global, the hardest working man many have ever known.

Eric Slifka, President and CEO of Global Partners, said, “Yesterday we lost a legend. Eddie was tough in business but had a compassionate way of turning strangers into friends and family. He was an exceptionally talented attorney who mentored many young lawyers and gave generously of his time. Through his energy and dedication, Eddie helped to build the foundation for Global’s success – we are fortunate to have worked with him.”

Eddie was larger than life, a role model of role models. Though small in stature, his presence was huge. Fiercely loyal, kind and caring, he had a smile and energy that lit up every room he walked into, no matter the time or place. His true passion was people. He loved his family and his friends with such devotion and was filled with unlimited generosity for all.
Eddie loved golf, arguably more for the friendships fostered through the game than the actual game itself. He enjoyed playing at Pine Brook Country Club where he formerly served as club President. And he loved watching his grandson early on in his learning of the game.

And he loved his phone. He was always on his phone, talking business or more often just checking in with friends. But most recently, to watch his grandchildren and interact with them as a doting grandfather. His grandchildren brought him so much joy, and they brought about from him his most tender, child-like side that many never knew.

Eddie leaves behind his wife of 45 years, Helene, his sons Ari and Jesse, his daughter-in-law, Andrea, his two cherished grandchildren, Owen and Ella, his brother Robert and sister Nancy, numerous nieces and nephews, and a large group of friends and colleagues that love him and will miss him dearly.

Following a private graveside service on Thursday, May 20th, memorial observance for family and close friends will be held at Pine Brook Country Club from 11:45 am – 3:00 pm. A celebration of Ed’s life open to all will be held in early June. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Ave., Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. 849168, Boston, MA 02284, or St. Francis House, P.O. Charlotte Temin

May 10, 2021

Charlotte was born in 1929 to Pauline and Marcel Brucar, grew up in New York City and received both her BA and MS at Hunter College.  She started her career teaching both gifted and then emotionally-challenged children in Spanish Harlem.  She became the guidance counselor at Hunter College High School for gifted girls and taught psychology at Hunter College.  Charlotte then moved to Harvard to get a doctorate in psychology.  She married her husband, Peter, an economist at MIT in 1966, and settled down in Cambridge.  During this time, she was a psychologist at the Cambridge Guidance Center, a psychiatric clinic for children and families.  She started a program at the Guidance Center in 1972 called the Companion Tutoring Program, which paired local college students and young adults with the children in treatment as companion therapists.  She was very proud that this program is still continuing.

Moving from the clinic to private practice as a family psychologist, she also taught family therapy and supervised in the Couples and Family Center of Cambridge Hospital.  Her community activities and interests brought her back to the clinic as board member and then president of the board as it began its transition to the Guidance Center Inc.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Peter, her two daughters, Elizabeth Temin and Melanie Mendez, and their three grandsons, Colin and Zachary Gibbons and Elijah Mendez. She was an avid reader and inveterate traveler. Dr. Louis Benjamin Levovsky

May 10, 2021

Dr. Louis Benjamin Levovsky, of Framingham, formerly of New Bedford, Fall River, and North Dartmouth passed on May 10, 2021 at 86 years old. Beloved son of the late Max and Mildred Levovsky. Loving brother of the late Arthur Levovsky and sister Laura Kadish. Beloved former spouse to Deborah Levovsky and Claire Levovsky. Loving father to his four daughters, Susan Bley, Risa Levovsky, Lori Cohn and Caryn London and their respective spouses Lou Bley, Michael Cohn and Robert London. Stepfather to Sue Mancall, Louis Karten and Bruce Karten and their beloved spouses, Matt Mancall, Carolyn Karten and Laurie Karten. He leaves behind his cherished sixteen grandchildren, Sydney, Darien, Elliot, Julia, Jacob, Gabriel, Emily, Samantha, Lily, Ben, Allie, Jordan, Adam, Noah, Jared and Aaron. Survived by loving nieces, nephews, and friends, as well as the hundreds, if not thousands of patients, who he treated throughout this career in Allergy and Immunology at The Truesdale Clinic in Fall River and Aquidneck Medical Center in Newport, Rhode Island. He was a man, who wore many hats and was always surrounded by those who loved him.

He grew up in New Bedford, Massachusetts, where he was a wonderful son to his hardworking parents and truly the apple of their eyes as he became a successful Allergist after years of studying at Cornell and Boston University Medical School and suffering himself from severe childhood asthma.

Lou loved his whole family deeply and would do anything for them. From spending time at Bakers Beach, Cathy Temple, Davey’s Locker, family weddings and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, he was always happy to be surrounded by his family before he sacked out for a nap!!!!

He was so proud of all of his 16 grandchildren. Saying their names and talking with them about their career aspirations, love lives, and grades always brought him so much joy and made him smile.

His passions included his love for the Pats, the Red Sox, CNN, the stock market, and the goings on in Washington. He’d always say I am very happy and very comfortable as he was stretched out on his couch watching all of these things on TV.

He had special nicknames for his family and friends and that is something we will never lose. And he had so many sayings, better known as Lou-isms:

Sit at my feet and learn!

My grandmother got here from Odessa, you can find your way!

Little kids, little problems, big kids, big problems

You learn something new every day!

To know me is to love me!

Lou Levovsky was simply an incredible person and true inspiration to many. He was so loved and will forever remain in all of our hearts.

Donations in his memory may be made to The American Macular Degeneration Foundation.

With her sister Bea and her brother Irving, she grew up in the Bronx in NYC.  She graduated near the top of her class from Morris High School and then received a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College.  While working at the NYC Department of Welfare she met her future husband, Arthur.  After getting married and starting her family, she worked as an elementary school teacher for many years, surrounding her students with love and support.  Her passion for books lead her to work as a librarian, and she then received her Master’s in Library Science while working full time and raising her family.  She finished her career as librarian in a NYC high school.  She and her family split their time between Douglaston, NY during the school year and Smallwood, NY in the Catskills during the summer months.

After Arthur’s passing she relocated to Coconut Creek, FL.  Making many new friends, she continued her passion for teaching, books and libraries, running the North Regional Broward County Library Tutoring Program which matched senior citizens with inner city elementary school students to help with their reading.  She tutored Russian immigrants in English, and continued to be very active with the local B’nai Brith.  These activities led to many honors and awards, including an invitation to the White House to meet the president.  She discovered that she loved telling jokes, and many dinner parties would find her telling stories to surprised friends.  She loved watching the news and engaging in political discussions, and proudly voted right through the 2020 election.

Florence was passionate about her family and extremely proud of her children.    She instantly fell in love with her grandchildren, and was an incredible grandma.  She loved making Halloween costumes for them, and helped them develop a love of reading, sharing stories and books.  Holidays together were always special events.

She ultimately moved to Wellesley, Massachusetts to be closer to her family.  She is survived by her daughter, Susan Morton, along with her son Paul Morton, his wife, Jayne Dorfman, and her grandchildren, Melissa Morton and Matthew Morton.  Her warmth, kindness, humor, intelligence and good spirits are already missed.

The funeral will be private.  In lieu of flowers, she would have appreciated a contribution to any charity of your choice that focuses on enriching libraries or improving the lives of children.

Donald Orenbuch

May 7, 2021

Donald Irwin Orenbuch, 87, died Friday, May 7th at his home in Sandy Springs, GA. Don is survived by his beautiful wife of 55 years, Billie Lee, his son, Tim Orenbuch, and his daughter, Evelyn Orenbuch. Don will be laid to rest at the Baker Street cemetery in Boston, reunited with his sister, brothers, and parents.

Don grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, MA, graduating from Boston Latin High School in 1952. He graduated from Harvard in 1956, with a degree in Chemistry and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1960. For the majority of his life, Don lived in Gladwyne and later, Bala Cynwyd, both in suburban Philadelphia, PA.  Don and Billie moved to the Atlanta area in early October, 2020 to be near their daughter and son-in-law.

Don worked at ARCO Chemical Corporation for 15 years, finishing his career as Manager of Strategic Planning. After retiring from ARCO, he began his second career as a small business owner, running a Partyland Store in Wayne, PA for nearly 30 years. He helped many people create meaningful celebrations with just the right advice, from balloons to decorations.

This business fit his personality perfectly, as laughter was important to Don. He was quick with a joke and wasn’t shy to tell them to a customer, stranger, soon-to-be friend, or to his family – repeatedly.

The son of Polish immigrants, he started mapping his family tree well before there were internet resources, writing hand written letters to obtain birth certificates from small villages in Poland. This led him to become active in the Philadelphia Jewish Genealogical Society and enjoyed teaching about the Jewish American immigrant history.

A lifelong learner, Don took a variety of classes, most at the Main Line School Night, including one called “Great Discussions,” which turned into a weekly conversation with a special group of friends lasting nearly 15 years. In his 60s, he studied Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, and reached the level of Master. His creations were often presented at the Philadelphia Flower Show.

He learned to play the mandolin as a young man and loved to sing.  No family car ride was complete without lots of folk songs, which he knew by heart, such as a full throated rendition of “My father was the keeper of the Eddystone light.” He often attended the Philadelphia Folk Festival, and took great joy in participating in a monthly sing-along on Sunday afternoons with friends.

Don enjoyed travel, having the chance to see Korea, Japan, most of western Europe, Russia, China, Thailand, Bali, Tibet, Canada, Peru, and Israel.  He enjoyed exploring the culture and getting to know the people of that country.  A favorite activity on any trip was to walk into the heart of the city and central market to be a part of the throng.

Throughout his life, Don enjoyed close friends and long term relationships, playing in a standing poker game with the same group of guys, for 20 years.

Don played the game well and left the game smiling, having made some good bets and a few chips up.

Services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be can be made in Don’s name to the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or the Chron’s and Colitis Foundation National Headquarters, Attn: Financial Operations, 733 Third Ave., Suite 510, New York, NY 10017.

Susan F. Cole

May 1, 2021

Susan Frances Cole

Born August 4, 1948

Died May 1, 2021

Wife to David Eisen, principal at Abacus Architects & Planners in Boston. Mother to Ben Eisen, a reporter at The Wall Street Journal in New York. Mother-in-law to Emily Cohn, deputy editor in chief at Insider in New York. Sister to Stuart Cole, a retired ophthalmologist in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

She grew up mainly in Macon, Georgia, the daughter of a school-teacher mother and a bacteriologist father who later opened a local toy store. Her childhood in the Deep South when schools were still segregated sparked her passion for a more just education system.

She moved north to finish college, then became a special education teacher. After getting a law degree, she worked for a nonprofit now known as Massachusetts Advocates for Children, representing kids who had been expelled from the Boston Public Schools. A common theme emerged through her work in the ’90s: Many of the kids experienced trauma outside of school, such as homelessness or domestic abuse, and that impacted their ability to focus in school. Thus began her life’s work trying to make the public school system more attuned to these issues.

In 2004, she started the Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative in partnership with Harvard Law School and Massachusetts Advocates for Children. She and her team trained students to handle legal casework related to school expulsions, worked with schools to adopt new practices, pushed for legislative change and published three books on trauma’s impact on education.

Her expertise took her all over the world, speaking to and working with educators about how to make schools sensitive to trauma. Her pioneering work in Massachusetts has gained more national attention recently as legislators and school administrators around the country focus on childhood trauma.

Donations in Susan’s memory may be made to Steven Oliveira, Dean for Development & Alumni Relations, Harvard Law School, 1563 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge, MA 02138. On the memo line please note, “Susan Cole/Trauma & Learning Policy Initiative.” Donations can also be made online at hls.harvard.edu/give Under “Select a Fund” choose “Other” and please type in, “In Memory of Susan Cole/Trauma and Learning Policy Initiative.”

Lois B. Oxman

April 30, 2021

Lois B. Oxman 6/3/39- 4/30/2021

“Mrs. O,” Lois, Mom, “Grandmom,” you touched so many people throughout your life. You were a teacher through and through and that part of you shined through decades of teaching, first as an elementary teacher in Philadelphia and then as a lunch lady, an aide for hearing impaired students and finally as a Special Ed teacher in the Newton Public School System. Your intensive work on political campaigns throughout our childhood impressed upon both of us the importance of being involved in our communities, and the friendships you forged made our small family of 3 feel so much larger. You were a friend and mother figure to even our friends, an amazing mom, and a wonderful grandmom to Jackson, Ethan, Carlos, and Alejandro.

You put so much passion into everything you did, and fought tooth and nail for what you believed in.  You taught us to be strong, independent women, independent thinkers (much to your chagrin at times) and that if we put our mind to it, we can get it done. Thank you, Mom, for your love and guidance, we will love you forever.  Rest in peace now.

Lois leaves behind her two brothers, Marc and Allan, her two daughters Robin and Debbie, her two sons-in-law Daniel and Jim and three of her four grandsons, Jackson, Ethan and Carlos. Ale now has grandmom all to himself.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stillbrave Childhood Cancer Foundation, 145 Whites Landing Rd., Linden, VA 22642 or The Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF), 360 W. Schick Rd., Suite 23, #211, Bloomingdale, IL 60108 or Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, 111 Presidential Blvd., Suite 203, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.

Barry Steinberg

April 27, 2021

Barry Steinberg of Boston, MA, passed away after a long battle with prostate cancer on April 27th, 2021. He was 75 years old.

Barry was born in Port Chester, NY in 1945 to Pearl and Meyer Steinberg. He graduated Port Chester High in 1963 and completed two years of college before being drafted into the Army, serving in Thailand during the Vietnam conflict. After his service,  Barry began a lifelong career in the auto business, initially working for Duddy Kravitz at Duddy’s Tire. In 1974, he partnered with his friend, Albee Stone, founding Direct Tire and Auto Service in Watertown. After six months he bought Albee’s share and they remained lifelong friends. Barry went on to build one of the most well-known businesses in the Boston area, specializing in high-end custom wheels and winning over customers with great service, echoing his father’s motto: “the customer is always right.”  Direct Tire grew to five locations, earning the distinction of receiving the first-ever “Tire Dealer of the Year” by Modern Tire Dealer Magazine, and made Inc. Magazine’s list of “26 Most Interesting Entrepreneurs” for helping to initiate the National Retail Tire Network, a trade group that turned competitors into peers. An advocate for the small business community, Barry helped drive the “Right to Repair Act” into law.

In the 80’s, Barry’s clever marketing phrases, “We’ll Fix It So It Brakes” and “We’ll Brake, Shock & Exhaust You” became hallmarks on Mass Pike billboards. Anyone listening to the radio in Boston was familiar with Barry’s trademark voice touting ads for “Dye-Rect Tire”. Barry broke the mold by working with the Department of Corrections Work Release Program, giving former inmates a chance at employment and livelihood. He was a strong believer in mentoring and training young men and women, folding them into his Direct Tire family, which earned him fierce loyalty over four decades. Many of his friends’ kids got their first job at Direct Tire, including his own three sons.

Support for the community was also close to Barry’s heart. He spearheaded charitable drives for the Boston Food Bank, the Jimmy Fund, Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as Watertown High Robotics Team and Peabody Little League. Barry was a well-known fixture in the Boston area, rarely going out on the town without running into a customer or friend. Barry was the person you called when you were in a jam or just needed advice. He was a hero to his four kids, and it wasn’t just because he doled out free ski lift and concert tickets. He always put everyone else’s needs before his own. Barry had a great sense of humor, and even as a child, he loved entertaining people and making them laugh. He was always a gentleman and positive role model. Up until the end, he maintained a positive outlook on life.

Barry’s greatest passion was his family.  During the blizzard of ‘78, Barry met his beloved wife and best friend, Penny, sparking a 41-year marriage that was the epitome of a joyful, loving, respectful relationship. They shared a love of travel, fine dining (always sitting at the bar!) and a blended family that included his two children – Jason and Matthew and Penny’s – Dan and Sara.  When the grandkids came along, they stole Barry’s heart.  His most treasured moments were time spent with Miranda, Gabriel, Isabella, Claire, Noah, and Logan at the family lake house in Jaffrey, New Hampshire. Swimming, boating, fishing, treehouse building — so many great times over the years. Barry’s happy place was driving his boat at top speed on Thorndike Pond. Then he would cut the motor, sit back with a martini, and watch the sun set behind Mt. Monadnock.

Barry is survived by his wife, four children, and six grandchildren.

Due to Covid, graveside service and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barry’s memory may be made to Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln or Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

For Lara, raising her family was always her main priority. She enjoyed cheering on her daughter, Jen, in her many dance competitions and her daughter, Deb, with her sporting events. And she loved sharing in their many personal and professional successes as they grew up. She lived each day being the best mother she could be! Lara was also devoted to her family dogs, Sparky and Teddi, and her grand dogs, Kodi and Benzi. Lara’s friends were deeply important to her, and she loved spending time with them playing golf at Spring Valley Country Club during the summers and Mahjong and Canasta year-round. In more recent years, Lara was blessed to become a grandmother to two boys, whom she loved dearly. Seeing Asher and Grayson grow and learn were some of her happiest moments. She loved being their Mimi and she boasted about them to anyone she could.

Burial will be private. Donations in Lara’s memory may be made to Amego, Inc., an organization close to Lara’s heart.  Amego is committed to supporting people living with autism and other developmental disabilities at home, school, work, and as members of their families and communities.

Arthur D. Altman

April 7, 2021

Arthur David Altman-of Boston, MA and Wellington, FL, on April 7, 2021. Cherished husband of Nancy, the love of his life. Beloved father to Murray (Barbara), Paul, Margie, Patrick, Marianne, Michael. Grandpa and Papa to his adored grandchildren Michael, Jeremy and Arden. Brother to Henry (Mary) and uncle to Anne (Dan) and Beth (Kirk). Treasured friend to many. A powerhouse of a man, Arthur invested with vigor in all he did, be it business deals, on the fairway or in a game of gin rummy. He was quietly philanthropic, a voracious reader, a fan of British crime dramas and mediocre movies. Arthur loved history, world travel and his Irish Wolfhounds. Above all, he held dear his family and made it his life’s work to ensure that they are happy and safe. With Nancy by his side, he delighted in visits from his children and grandchildren where he would sit at the helm of family dinners filled with stories and laughter. We, his family, pledge to continue this tradition in his honor. He will be profoundly missed. Due to the current travel difficulties of the pandemic, there will be no memorial service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
