Following interment at Baker Street, West Roxbury, memorial observance will be at Orchard  Cove, 1 Del Pond Drive, Canton, MA until 3 pm and Saturday evening at the home of Richard Brunell and Anita Lichtblau 7-9 pm. Myron S. Wolf

83, of Newton, Korean War Vet, died November 7, 2015.
Myron was born in Boston to Barnard and Anna Wolf on September 9, 1932. He grew up by Jamaica Pond with siblings Edith and Sherman. Myron graduated from Huntington Preparatory School in Boston in 1949. He continued his studies at Boston University, graduating with  a BA in 1953. In 1962 he attended Northeastern University Engineering School. Between  schools, during the Korean War, Myron served as a radar repairman in the U.S. Army, stationed in France and Germany. Myron was married to Roberta L. Sade from 1961 to 1983. The couple lived in Watertown, and then in Lexington, where they raised their three children. Myron was a professional photographer, and an authority on vintage and antique cameras. During his lifetime, Myron took—and developed—over 20,000 pictures. He also wrote four Blue Books on cameras and accessories. After Myron retired in 2001, he spent the rest of his life in the Boston area. Myron was a member of Temple Reyim in Newton, where he drew comfort from attending religious services. He was forever grateful to the members of Temple Reyim for the warm and welcoming environment they provided. Myron is survived by daughter Linda and her husband Stephen, son Tom and his wife Claudia, son Larry, and by his two grandchildren, Matthew and Emma. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at Beit Olam Cemetery, 60 Old Sudbury Rd., (Route 27), Wayland, at 9:00 am.(enter through the Wayland North Cemetery).  Shiva will be held immediately afterwards until 9 pm., and will continue on Wednesday and Thursday evenings  at Linda’s home, 41 Francis St., Waltham, from 6:00-9:00 pm. Evening services will be held each evening of Shiva at 7:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Myron’s name to the Rabbi’s Tzedakah Fund at Temple Reyim, 1860 Washington Street, Newton, MA  02466.

Allen Rubin

Founder of Adrian’s Decorating of Woburn, of Palm Beach, Florida, passed away on November 6 at the age of 93, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife Sylvia of 73 years, daughter Linda Rubin and husband Leonard Ichton of Stoneham and their 3 children, Diana Nelson, Benjamin, and Geoffrey Ichton; daughter Nancy Sherter of Westport, CT and her 2 children, Jill Thomas and Craig Sherter; brother Herb Rubin and wife Esther of Medford, sister Celia Lebow of Lexington, and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on November 10, 2015 at Sharon Memorial Park, 120 Canton St., Sharon, MA at 12:45 pm. Norton Lloyd Sherman

Age 83, of Newton, MA, on November 4, 2015. Beloved husband of Claire Bernstein Sherman. Devoted father of Amy, Steven and his wife Alison, Brian and his wife Dawn. Loving grandfather to Brendon, Alex, Michael, Zachary, Annie, Bradford & Samantha. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Beatrice Sherman. Embraced by both the Jewish and secular communities, he was instrumental in supporting many organizations in both the Jewish and secular communities in Greater Boston and beyond. Mr. Sherman was a Fellow of Brandeis University and supported the Hornstein Program and related symposia there. He was a Trustee of the Beth Israel Hospital, where the Sherman Auditorium was rededicated to him last year. At Boston University, as a Trustee of Both BU and Hillel, he established the Boston University Jewish Cultural Endowment Fund. Through the JCC of Greater Boston, the Sherman Recreation Building at Camp Kingswood was established. A longtime supporter of the JF&CS, programs for seniors are ongoing for holiday celebrations. In Israel, he helped create a building in support of teacher education at Technion University. He was a founding board member and supporter of the Boston Jewish Film Festival.  Services will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson Chapel, 234 Herrick Road Newton, followed by interment at Temple Israel Cemetery, Wakefield. The family will  receive friends at his residence following burial through 7:00 pm and on Monday 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Norton’s memory may be made to the Jewish Family & Children Services, 1430 Main Street Waltham, MA 02451 for the Passover & Hanukah programs for Seniors,  or to a charity of your choice
