In April, 1962 when Priscilla was 17, the Boston Globe came to Priscilla’s home to photograph and interview her about being invited as one of the first girls to join the boy’s golf team at Newton South High School. The article stated that Priscilla was the best athlete in the school, but more importantly, the best golfer on the team. This was big news in those days hearing that a young woman was asked to play on a boy’s golf team.

Priscilla was a trailblazer setting forth new standards for girl’s sports in high school.
